Odisha – India’s largest iron ore producing state recorded production at 79 mn t in FY’16, 100 mn t in FY’17 and increased to 145 mn t in FY’20. The figures include the type of material – fines and lumps. The output of iron ore fines has depicted a rise over the years from 52 mn t in FY’16 to 102 mn t in FY’20. Similarly, lumps production has picked up from 27 mn t in FY’16 to 43 mn t in FY’20.
