Odisha Iron Ore Dispatches Remain Stable in Oct’18

Odisha – India’s largest iron ore producing state recorded dispatches at 6.14 MnT in Oct’18. The dispatch remained majorly stable on monthly basis as against 6.02 MnT in Sept’18. The figures exclude movement for export and dispatches of captive miners- SAIL & Tata Steel. Odisha based merchant miners had raised prices thrice from end Aug to early Sept. After this, miners have kept prices unchanged however they widened discounts.

However, on yearly basis, iron ore dispatches from Odisha increased by 12% in Oct’18 as compared to Oct’17 dispatches at 5.39 MnT.

During (Apr-Sep’18) Odisha iron ore dispatches stood almost stable at 41.74 MnT as compared to 40.87 MnT in the same time frame last year.

Rungta Mines iron ore dispatches increased 10% M-o-M

Odisha’s merchant iron ore miner – Rungta Mines, India’s largest private merchant miner, dispatched the iron ore at 1.68 MnT in Oct’18. The dispatch recorded an increase of 10% M-o-M against 1.53 MnT in Sept’18.

However, Serajuddin Mines has recorded decreased in its iron ore dispatches in Oct’18. The miner dispatched 0.63 MnT inOct’18, down by 25% M-o-M against 0.84MnT in Sept’18. Serajuddin resumed operations at one of its iron ore blocks recently and is likely to increase its production volumes post resumption of operations at one of its blocks. The operations were suspended owing to technical issues. Resumption will add to supply of iron ore lump which was hampered from the past few months.

RP Sao turns out to be the biggest gainer and recorded at 0.57 MnT iron ore dispatches from its mines, increased sharply by 88% M-o-M against 0.30MnT in Sept’18.

Iron ore dispatches from OMC, increased 13% in Oct’18

OMC, state-owned miner recorded an increase in dispatches at 0.79 MnT in Oct’18, witnessed 13% up as against 0.70 MnT in Sept’18.
