According to the data maintained by government of Odisha, iron ore dispatches from Odisha witnessed an increase of 26.4% in Jan’16 as compared to Dec’15. Total 4.3 MnT iron ore was dispatched in Jan’16 against 3.4 MnT in Dec’15.
The analysis has been done on the basis of data complied from truck movement and does not include movement from captive mines of SAIL and Tata Steel.
Major iron ore buyers from Odisha market were JSPL, Bhushan Steel, Bhushan Power & Electrosteel which contributed around 36.2% to total procurement done in Jan’16.
