Odisha – India’s largest iron ore producing state recorded 15% M-o-M increase in iron ore dispatches in May’18 to 6.05 MnT as against 5.28 MnT in Apr’18. The figures exclude movement for export and dispatches of captive miner- SAIL & Tata Steel.
On yearly basis, Odisha dispatches in May’18 witnessed stable in line with May’17 dispatches at 6.11 MnT.
Rungta Mines iron ore dispatches increased 16% M-o-M
Amongst Odisha’s merchant iron ore mines – Rungta Mines, India’s largest private merchant miner, dispatched the highest quantity of iron ore at 1.91 MnT in May’18. The dispatch recorded increase of 16% M-o-M against 1.64 MnT in Apr’18.
KJS Ahluwalia recorded dispatches at 0.62 MnT (up 20% M-o-M), followed by Kaypee Enterprises at 0.47 MnT (up 13% M-o-M) and Serajuddin at 0.36 MnT (down 43% M-o-M).
Dispatches from Indrani Patnaik, KN Ram and SN Mohanty has depicted a significant rise in May’18. Indrani Patnaik recorded at 0.34 MnT (up more than twice M-o-M) and Essel Mining at 0.24 MnT( down 11% M-o-M)
Iron ore dispatches from OMC, up 50% M-o-M
OMC, state-owned miner recorded dispatches at 0.91 MnT in May’18, depicting rise of 50% as against 0.61 MnT in Apr’18.
