The Odisha government has given approval for the conducting auction of Badampahar iron ore mine block in Mayurbhanj district, Odisha.
The technical bids of the bidders will be opened on Tuesday 16 Jun’20, at 11:00 hours and the announcement of the bids qualifier will be on Monday, 29 Jun’2020. Submission of the final offer price will be through the electronic platform on 30 Jun’ 2020. The announcement of the final bidder will be on July 06, 2020.
All the bidders who have submitted the bids may participate in the technical bid opening of Badampahar iron ore block through online mode or may attend personally. Only 1 (one) representative of each bidder will be permitted to attend and the entry is restricted to bidders only.
In line with MMDR (Amendment) Act 2015, Odisha govt. put up 21 merchant iron ore mines for auction which were due to expire on 31 March 2020. However, the auction process of Badampahar was earlier put on hold due to some legal issues and the lease was expiring on May 26, 2020.
Odisha is India’s largest iron ore producing state and accounting for 50% share of India’s production.
