Dispatches of chrome ore by Odisha miners have increased by almost 17% in Dec’16 against Nov’16.
TATA Steel being one of the largest miners in the region dispatched 81,989 MT of chrome ore in Dec’16. The company has witnessed an increase of about 24% in dispatch of the material on M-o-M basis. The organization held only 10,453 MT for captive consumption in Dec’16 which is about 13% lower than it was in Nov’16.
On the other hand, OMC recorded a huge decrease of about 39% in the dispatches which plunged to 51,364 in Dec’16 on M-o-M basis.
