Dispatches of chrome ore by Odisha miners have decreased by almost 3% in Jan’17 against Dec’16.
TATA Steel being one of the largest miners in the region dispatched 72,136 MT of chrome ore in Jan’17 against 81,989 in Dec’16. The company has witnessed a decrease of about 12% in dispatch of the material on M-o-M basis. The organization held only 10,519 MT for captive consumption in Jan’17 which is merely 0.6% higher than it was in Dec’16.
OMC on the other hand, recorded a substantial increase of about 28% in the dispatches which surged to 65,661 in Jan’17 on M-o-M basis.
