SteelMint has learned from the sources that, Odisha based major merchant miners have got decent response after revision of offers. As per sources, one of major merchant miner has booked around 300,000 MT iron ore lump Fe 63% (5-18 mm) at around INR 4,100/MT (Ex-mine, including Royalty, DMF & NMET).
Bulk offers for fines (Fe 63%) at around INR 1,900-2,000/MT (Ex-mines, including Royalty, DMF & NMET) for a booking of around 300,000 MT.
SteelMint’s current Odisha iron ore prices assessment for 5-18mm lump (Fe 63%) for bulk, bookings are around at INR 4,100-4,300/MT and fines (Fe 63%) at INR 2,000-2,200/MT (ex-mines, including Royalty, DMF & NMET). The prices quoted are for 100,000 MT booking.
Last month major merchant miners from Odisha hike iron ore price two-time amid hike in global offers which had increased exports and export realizations.
Odisha – India’s largest iron ore producing state recorded an increase of iron ore production in the 1st month of the current fiscal year. Production in Apr’19 stood at 12.45 MnT. Production moved up sharply by 35% for Apr’19 as against 9.21 MnT in Mar’19, according to the provisional data of Odisha Govt. maintained by SteelMint.
