Odisha Auction 2020: Jagat Janani Wins Jururi Iron Ore Mine

Jururi iron ore mine was put under the hammer yesterday (16th Jan) in which Jagat Janani emerged as a preferred bidder at a premium of 126.23%, shared market sources. The mine was reserved for merchant use.

The mine fetched the highest premium of 73.08% in the technical round. Other prominent bidders were KMC, Lal Traders, Yazdani Steel, Rungta, Kashvi International, and Fomento.

Jururi mine is amongst the mines that are going to expire on Mar’20 and has been put up for auction. The mine is spread in an area of 73.23 hects. The mine has reserves of 4.79 MnT iron ore. The mine has EC limit of 2.1 MnT. It produced 0.43 MnT iron ore in FY19 and 1.1 MnT in FY20(till Nov’19).

Kalinga Mining Corporation was the erstwhile leaseholder of Jururi mine.
