According to customs data, Norwegian manganese ore imports went up slightly by 5.01% m-o-m to over 53,000 t in Apr’21. Increased demand from steel production resulted in an increase in imports. The World Steel Association reported that total crude steel production in Europe (Norway is a part of the EU) was at 4.2 mnt in Apr’21, up by 33.9% y-o-y.
