Norway’s manganese ore imports increased by 23% on the month to 62,149 t in Mar’22 from 50,476 t in Feb. The surge in imports was led by an increase in the production of crude steel in the country. However, on a yearly basis, imports decreased by 10% in Mar. The major importing countries to Norway were South Africa at 62,125 t followed by Gabon and France.
