Norway: Hydro invests $15.5 mn at Henderson plant to expand recycled aluminium output

Hydro, a Norwegian aluminium and energy company, is investing $15.5 million at Henderson plant based at Kentucky, USA to expand recycled aluminium production to deliver certified products to the automotive industry. On 1 July, the plant was issued the certificate for production of Hydro CIRCAL. The plant will have a total capacity of 130,000 t of extrusion billets, of which 40,000 t will be Hydro CIRCAL. The plant is expected to start operations in 2023.
