A renowned plant in Mandi Gobindgarh has booked about 1,000 t sponge C-DRI mix material (FeM 80%), trade sources revealed to SteelMint. The deal price is learned at INR 19,900/t exw Jajpur, Odisha & the freight cost via road delivery to Mandi is reported at INR 3,200/t. Sponge iron prices remained strong on account of sufficient orders with producers along with strengthening substitute products & billet prices.
