India imported about 14.5 MnT of non-coking coal in June’15. Mundra port in west coast of India received the highest quantity. Indonesian coal dominated the imports.
India, one of the major importers of coal, imported about 2.2 MnT less non-coking in June’15 against previous month. It had imported about 15.7 and 16.7 MnT of non-coking coal in Apr’15 and May’15 respectively.

Leading Exporters of Non-Coking Coal in June’15
Indonesia and South Africa lead imports in June. Indonesia exported about 9.4 MnT of non-coking coal in June’15, registering a decline of about 21% against the previous month. South Africa also registered decline of about 5.6% to India against May’15 and imported about 3 MnT of non-coking coal in June’15.

Major Discharging Ports
Mundra Port received the highest quantity of non-coking coal among all the major ports and was assessed at 3.5 MnT, registering a growth of about 5% compared to May’15.
