Indian govt has kept duty structure unchanged in budget presented today. Export duty on pellet and low grade iron ore fines (less than Fe 58%) continues to remain nil. Indian pellet exports were recorded at 13.32 mn t in CY’20, as per data maintained with SteelMint. Indian iron ore export shipments increased to 40.72 mn t in CY’20, up more than two folds on yearly basis as compared to 19.14 mn t in CY’19.
