No improvement in markets of South India

South India markets remained dull last
week and prices weakened owing to poor off take and supply
situation. Power issues continue with low output.

Power tariffs were up by over 20% in Kerela considering lower than expected monsoons. “We do not expect the market condition
to improve much in August as there are only few working days in this month. We
don't work much during 8 days of run up to Onam, said a Tamil Nadu based manufacturer.

Prices remain at low levels from a long time as supply from Maharashtra, Goa and Raipur
has kept local price makers on toes and demand is weak by 25%.
