NMDC's Kumarswamy mines Iron ore e-auction on May 21

From its Kumarswamy mines located in the state of Karnataka, NMDC is to offer Iron ore through e-auction, on May 21, at 17:00 hrs IST.

Inspection of the material, the total quantity of which stands at 180,000 MT, is to take place from May 15-20.

Details of quantity to be offered:

Iron ore Calibrated lump 120,000 MT

Iron ore fines 56,000 MT

Low grade iron ore fines 4,000 MT

Royalty 10%, VAT 5.5% (on auction price and royalty), are applicable.

On May 14:

NMDC offered 156,000 MT Iron ore from its Kumarswamy mines.

It received high bids for fines. Whereas, those for calibrated lump ore were equal to floor price set.

Entire fines (including low grade) was sold out; only 38% of total offered calibrated lump ore was purchased.

Iron ore calibrated lump 96,000 MT

Iron ore fines 56,000 MT

Iron ore fines (low grade) 4,000 MT

Royalty 10%, VAT 5.5% (on auction price and royalty), are applicable.

The auction received 109 bids, no. of bidders and winners were 10 and 7 respectively.

At Rs 3,892/MT Floor and booking price were same

JSW 20,000 MT

Kalyani 8,000 MT

Sathavahana 4,000 MT

Kirloskar 4,000 MT

Iron ore fines 28,000 MT Fe% 61.0 Floor price Rs 2,035/MT

Kalyani 4,000 MT at Rs 2,565/MT

Vinayak 4,000 MT at Rs 2,565/MT

JSW 20,000 MT (had bid for 24,000 MT) at Rs 2,555/MT

Iron ore fines (low grade) 4,000 MT Fe% 58 Floor price Rs 1,660/MT 

BMM Ispat at Rs 1,680/MT 

Iron ore fines 28,000 MT Fe% 62 Floor price Rs 2,160/MT

JSW 24,000 MT at Rs 2,400/MT

Xindia 4,000 MT at Rs 2,370/MT (had bid for 20,000/MT)
