In first two months of FY17, the miner has produced 4.99 MnT iron ore.
India’s largest iron ore producer – National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has recorded an increase of 27% M-o-M in its monthly iron ore production.
On monthly basis, iron ore production is up by 27% in May’16. However in comparison with May’15 production is up by 21%.
The miner produced 2.79 MnT iron ore in May’16 against 2.20 MnT in Apr’16. Iron ore production from its Chhattisgarh mines increased from 1.56 MnT in Apr’16 to 1.73 MnT in May’16. While production from its Karnataka mines moved up by 66% M-o-M to 1.06 MnT in May’16.
Talking about iron ore sales, figure is down by 5% on monthly premises. NMDC’s iron ore sales which was seen at 2.55 MnT in Apr’16 was recorded at 2.43 MnT in May’16. In May’16, iron ore sales from Chhattisgarh was seen at 1.67 MnT while sales from Karnataka was recorded at 0.76 MnT.
In first two months of this fiscal, NMDC has produced 4.99 MnT iron ore and iron ore sales stood at 4.98 MnT.
