NMDC produced 11.69 MnT iron ore in the first five months of FY17 (up by 11% Y-o-Y) and iron ore sales in the same time period was recorded at at 12.93 MnT (up by 15% Y-o-Y).
National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has registered an increase of 10% M-o-M in its monthly iron ore production. The miner’s production moved up from 1.92 MnT in Jul’16 to 2.14 MnT in Aug’16.
In Aug’16, iron ore production from its Chhattisgarh and Karnataka mines were 1.14 MnT and 1 MnT respectively. Iron ore production of NMDC from both the states have increased by 15% and 8% respectively in Aug’16.
Comparing on yearly basis, NMDC’s iron ore production is higher by 2% compared to 2.09 MnT in Aug’15 on Y-o-Y basis.
Iron ore sales of NMDC up by 12% in Aug’16
NMDC’s iron ore sales increased by 12% M-o-M and stood at 2.73 MnT in Aug’16 against 2.43 MnT in Jul’16. Out of 2.73 MnT iron ore sold in Aug’16, 1.65 MnT was sold from its Chhattisgarh mines and 1.08 MnT iron ore from its Karnataka mines.
On yearly premises, Iiron ore sales figure of NMDC is higher by 38% against 1.98 MnT in Aug’15 on Y-o-Y basis.
