NMDC’s Iron Ore Production Down by 33% M-o-M in Apr’16

National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has registered decline of 33% in its monthly iron ore production in Apr’16. The miner has produced 2.2 MnT iron ore in Apr’16 against 3.3 MnT in Mar’16.

Out of 2.2 MnT iron ore production in Apr’16, miner’s production from Chhattisgarh Bailadila mines was recorded at 1.56 MnT and the remaining 0.64 MnT was registered from its mines in Karnataka.

Iron ore sales were recorded at 2.55 MnT in Apr’16 which is down by 15% M-o-M. Out of this 1.64 MnT iron ore sales was noticed from Chhattisgarh mines and remaining 0.91 MnT sales was recorded from its mines in Karnataka.

In FY16, NMDC produced 28.32 MnT iron ore which was down by 7% Y-o-Y. It missed its production target by 6.7 MnT in FY16.
