Global firms like Paul Wurth, Danieli and Posco E&C have been short-listed to submit bids for the supply of equipment to set up state-owned NMDC’s proposed Rs 14,000 crore steel plant in Chhattisgarh.
The country’s largest Iron ore producer has already announced the acquisition of 1,948 acres of land for setting up the 3-million tonnes per annum steel plant at a cost of about Rs 14,000 crore.
The company has decided to divide the construction work into nine turnkey packages and will invite separate bids for each contract.
