Iron ore e-auction result for NMDC's Donimalai and Kumarswamy mines in Karnataka were out on 20th July '13.
The total quantity of Iron ore offered for sale was 3,48,000 MT but NMDC sold only 1,00,000 MT of Iron ore i.e. 28.7%.
Iron ore fines were sold above the floor price in 20th July e-auction in Karnataka.
No bidding was done for Calibrated lump ore (CLO). The total quantity of CLO offered was 2,00,000 MT.
Total number of bids which came was 41. Out of which, the number of bidders was 5 & winners were 4.
Details of quantity sold:
Iron ore lumps: 32,000 MT
Iron ore fines: 68,000 MT
Total percentage of increase in the booking price over the floor price is 3.92%.
There is 8% increase in the price of fines over the floor price.
The main buyer for Iron ore fines are JSW Steels Ltd, which purchased total quantity 52,000 MT & Xindia Steels Ltd purchased 16000 MT of Iron fines.
At auction, Iron ore fines price for Fe 61% was at 1,955 Rs/MT
Iron ore lumps were sold at the floor price in the e-auction. Out of 80,000 MT of Iron ore only 40% were sold out.
The main buyer for lumps was Sesa Goa Ltd. The total quantity of lumps purchased by Sesa Goa was 28,000 MT.
At auction, Iron ore lumps price for Fe 61.1% was at Rs 37,08/MT
