From its Kumarswamy mines located in the state of Karnataka, NMDC offered 156,000 MT Iron ore, through e-auctions, on May 14.

Iron ore calibrated lump 96,000 MT
Iron ore fines 56,000 MT
Iron ore fines (low grade) 4,000 MT
Royalty 10%, VAT 5.5% (on auction price and royalty), are applicable.
The auction received 109 bids, no. of bidders and winners were 10 and 7 respectively.
Details of quantity sold: Entire fines (including low grade) was purchased; only 38% of total offered calibrated lump ore was purchased.
