NMDC, India’s single largest iron ore miner has produced 15.09 MnT in first seven months of this fiscal year (Apr’15-Oct’15). Iron ore sales amounted to a total of 15.73 MnT in the same period.
Compared to the same period in last financial year, iron ore production & sales figures are down by 9.6% and 10.9 % respectively.
Out of the total production, 8.59 MnT iron ore was produced from its Chhattisgarh Bailadila mines and 6.5 MnT was produced from its mines in Karnataka (Donimalai and Kumaraswamy).
Iron ore sales from NMDC Chhattisgarh mines summed up to 8.89 MnT and sales from its Karnataka mines stood at 6.83 MnT.
