NMDC, India's single largest iron ore producer and exporter with
an annual production of around 30 million tons of iron ore and Rashtriya Ispat
Nigam Limited – Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (RINL-VSP)
invites”Pre-Qualification Applications” from well-established
experienced companies for selection of Joint Venture (JV) Partner(s) for
successful implementation of Slurry pipeline and Pellet plant project under the
scope of the proposed JV, according to recent tender uploaded by Mecon Ltd, a
state owned company and also technology partner to NMDC in this project.
The 13 MTPA Slurry Pipeline System from Nagarnar (Chattisgarh) to
Vizag (Andhra Pradesh) and a 6 MTPA Pellet Plant at Vizag, which will be
executed under Joint Venture (JV) in which NMDC and RINL are prime promoters.
The combined equity share holding of PSU Companies in this Joint Venture
Company shall be minimum 52% along with Management control.
General
Conditions:
1.
The Applicant shall be a single legal entity. Joint bidding is not permitted
for this EOI
2. The Applicant should be an iron ore / iron ore concentrate/iron ore pellet
consuming Company (Indian or Foreign Company having operation in India)or iron
ore pellet producing Company.
3. The Applicant should be successfully operating pellet plants and / or pig
iron /Sponge iron / steel plants with minimum aggregate annual consumption of
iron ore / Iron ore concentrate / iron ore pellet of 1.0 MTPA in the
immediately preceding 3 (three) financial years previous to the date of RFQ.
4. The average annual turnover of the Applicant should be minimum INR 500
crores
(USD 80 Million) over past three consecutive financial years previous to the
date of RFQ. Only gross sales shall be considered for the purpose of
determination of turnover
5. The net worth of the Applicant should be positive for past three consecutive
financial years and minimum INR 150 crores (USD 25 Million) in the last
financial
year i.e. as on 31.3.2013.
