NMDC likely to decide June Iron Ore Prices on May 29

India's largest state owned Iron ore miner, NMDC is expected to announce its Iron ore prices for the month of June, on 29 May.

A meeting of the Board of Directors will take place at 6 pm on the 29th.

The Board will look into its audited financial results for FY 2013 and for Quarter 4 FY 2013.

Till 27 May, the company has sold out a total of 2.2 MnT of Iron ore i.e. in the last 27 days as compared to 2.3 MnT sold in April.

And, such sales in May is encouraging which is why the company may decide to roll over Iron ore prices for June, at April levels.

NMDC's current Iron ore (May) prices:

6-40 mm Kirandul lumps Fe 65 Rs 4,600/MT

10-150 mm Bacheli ROM  Fe 64 Rs 4,000/MT

Iron ore fines Fe 64 Rs 2,610/MT

(Basic prices, excluding royalty and taxes)

On April 3rd, NMDC had considered no change in prices on account of good sales volume in April last year (2012).
