India’s single largest iron ore producer has kept base prices unchanged in the Karnataka e-auctions conducted so far in this month. It is to be noted that the miner had cut iron ore prices by 10-12% M-o-M in Jun’16 for its Chhattisgarh based Bailadila mines.
NMDC Chhattisgarh reduced prices by upto INR 230/MT in Jun’16
Amid declining sponge iron prices, NMDC (C.G.) reduced Baila lump & Baila fines prices by INR 200/MT, ROM prices by INR 180/MT and DR-CLO prices by INR 230/MT in Jun’16. Last month too NMDC (C.G.) had reduced prices by INR 90-200/MT.
Currently prices of Baila lump (Fe 65%) is INR 1,800/MT (FoR siding prices, excluding Royalty, DMF & NMET). And fines (Fe 64%) is at INR 1,460/MT FoR siding prices, excluding Royalty, DMF & NMET).
NMDC Karanataka iron ore e-auction base prices unchanged since Apr’16
NMDC’s base prices in Karnataka e-auctions have remained unchanged since Apr’16 despite it has cut iron ore prices for its Chhattisgarh mines since Apr’16. In the e-auctions conducted so far in Jun’16, NMDC’s base prices continue to remain at similar levels as they were seen in Apr’16.
Currently, base prices of lump (Fe 65.2%) offered by NMDC Donimalai mines stood at INR 2,184/MT (basic). While for its Kumaraswamy mines, base prices of fines (Fe 57.1%) stood at INR 1,185/MT and for lump (Fe 63.7%) were seen at INR 1,856/MT (basic).
