Miner achieved iron ore production of 27.10 MnT in FY17 (till Jan’17).
India’s single largest iron ore producer – National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) is witnessing sharp increase in its iron ore output this fiscal.
NMDC’s iron ore production stood at 27.10 MnT in FY17 (till Jan’17) against 23.44 MnT in the same period last fiscal. Thus, production has increased by 16% Y-o-Y.
Out of 27.10 MnT iron ore produced so far in FY17, 17.23 MnT has been produced from its Chhattisgarh mines. Remaining 9.87 MnT iron ore production has been recorded from NMDC’s Karnataka mines.
NMDC iron ore sales at 29.47 MnT in FY17 (till Jan’17) – NMDC’s iron ore sales stood at 29.47 MnT in FY17 (till Jan’17). Out of which iron ore sales from Chhattisgarh and Karnataka mines were at 18.9 MnT and 10.57 MnT respectively.
