NINL decides to declare its February Pig iron (steel) prices on the 8th.
Market has been waiting and is hopeful for prices to strengthen by Rs 500/MT.
January to March proves to be better for Pig iron industry, plants have already cleared stocks at low price, improving sponge iron prices and firm imported scrap offers might support price rise.
NINL's current stock position is 60,000 tons of Pig iron.
Sathavahana Ispat Limited, a Pig iron (foundry) producing company based at Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) has resumed operations and is offering its material at Rs 27,500/MT (Ex works).
