Ispat Nigam Ltd (NINL), a state owned and India's largest producer of Pig Iron at Cuttack, Odisha keeps September offers unchanged for domestic steel mills, said a senior
official from the company.
Though, market participants were expecting some
correction on falling steel prices.
“We were
anticipating some correction on weak steel demand but NINL might have unchanged
price on recent hike in iron ore prices by NMDC. Currently, steel grade Pig Iron price is at Rs
24,000/t (Ex-Works Cuttack)”, said a Pig Iron user based in Odisha.
