NINL has announced commissioning of its Rs 1,650 crore billet-making facilities at Kalinganagar in Odisha.
“This is significant for NINL as demand for and price realization of billets is better in the current market scenario than Pig iron. It will perk up NINL’s economic feat.
In 2013-14, we target to produce billets of four lakh tonsâ€Â, MD S.P. Patnaik told a news channel.
NINL has decided to boost its hot metal output from 1.1 MnT to 3 MnT p.a. and addition of a blast furnace, a seven meter coke oven battery and a 60MW thermal power unit.
