NINL (India) awards May Pig iron export tender

On 24 May, Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL) offered a total quantity of 60,000 tons (30,000 tons as an optional lot) Pig iron to international buyers on May 24, through an export tender. 

Specification: Basic grade with Si% upto 1.24

On 05 June, the tender received highest bid at $390.02/MT FoB Paradeep Port from Prime Carbon GmbH (Switzerland) for two lots. LG International (South Korea) bid slightly lower at $390/MT FoB Paradeep Port for both lots.

NINL has decided to award 30,000 tons of Pig iron to Prime Carbon GmbH (Switzerland) at $390.02/MT FOB Paradeep Port.

Delivery of the material is to take place during first half of July for 1st.

NINL is expected to offer Pig iron to overseas buyers again around the next week as in the last tender only 1 lot has been allotted. And, for tender floated on 29 April, NINL decided not to award it.
