NINL has decided to hold its steel grade Pig iron sales in domestic market for March.
The company is now offering foundry grade material in the range of Rs 23,000-24,500/MT (Ex works). Prices valid till March 29.
A couple of factors accounted for the above:
1. NINL has received new export order of 30,000 tons for steel grade Pig iron and shipment of the previous deals is yet to take place.
2. It is also to start its Steel Melting Shop (SMS) soon, where 60% of the steel grade material is to be consumed.
Secondary Pig iron producers told SteelMint that prices of steel grade Pig iron would step up by around Rs 500/MT for domestic takers.
