Newcastle port has reported that their last week (upto 15 July'13) shipment has dropped by 3.8% in comparison to preceding week's (upto 8th July ) report. Till this week (up 15th July) port has shipped around 2.8 MnT of coal.
In this month till 15th July, Newcastle port exported around 6 MnT of coal including coking and thermal coal. Port authorities are targeting this month to ship total 12.8 MnT. The major exporters who ship coal from Newcastle port are Rio Tinto, Xstrata, Anglo American etc.
Port has also reported that during last week 32 vessels entered at port for loading with average waiting time of 3.36 days, Whereas, just preceding week 30 vessels loaded at port with average waiting time of 3.85 days.
As on 15th July port had 11 vessels loading coal at port, 8 vessels were waiting to load and 48 vessels were expected to reach at port.
