Nepal’s Steel Imports in Jan-Oct’21

Nepal’s billet imports increased by 33% to 967,000 tonnes in Jan-Oct 2021, while sponge iron imports jumped by 56% to 200,000 tonnes and wire rod imports increased by 32% to 216,000 tonnes. During the same period, HRC imports decreased by 9% to 300,000 tonnes and structure imports decreased by 18% to 54,000 tonnes.
