Nepal’s finished steel imports decline in Nov’20

Nepal’s finished flat imports stood at 30,427 t in Nov’20, declining by around 38% m-o-m and 30.5% y-o-y, according to the customs data maintained with SteelMint. The country’s finished long imports also witnessed a fall of 66% m-o-m and stood at 12,767 t against 37,651 t in the previous month. On y-o-y basis, it dropped by 38%. Imports fell owing to limited export allocations of Indian primary mills and slow purchases from Nepal amid festive holidays.
