- Nepal mills booked around 20,000 t of BF-route wire rods from Indonesia at $655-670/t CFR Haldia (India) port basis, equivalent to $700-710/t CPT Nepal, for Sep’22 shipments.
- Nepal mills are looking for other sources to procure steel due to higher offers from India after imposition of export duty.
- BF-wire rod export offers from India are currently assessed at around $820/t LTW-eastern India, equivalent to $835-840/t CPT Raxaul border (including 15% export duty).
