Nepal long steel imports fall 44.5% y-o-y in Sep’20

Long steel imports by Nepal stood at 18,391 t during Sep’20, of which wire rod imports were 10,592 t and structures at 7,799 t. Imports fell by 44.5% on year basis as compared to 33,124 t during Sep’19, according to the custom data compiled by SteelMint. On monthly basis, imports fell by 15%. Indian mills in turn had lowered their export allocations on higher domestic realizations.
