Nepal finished long imports fall 26% y-o-y in Jan-Jul ’20

Long steel imports by Nepal during the first seven months of CY ’20 declined by 26% to 151,982 t as against 206,625 t during Jan-Jul ’19, as per Steelmint statistics. Imports fell due to dull demand amid imposed lockdown. Imports from India stood at 151,213 t, decreased by 20% y-o-y. However, imports in Jul ’20 were recorded 25,296 t, up 31% m-o-m.
