Nepal’s finished flat steel imports stood at 45,154 t in Aug’21, down 9% as against 49,520 t in Jul, as per customs data.
Product-wise break up:
- HRC/plate imports stand at 26,375 t in Aug, up 38% against 19,089 t last month
- CRC imports decline 56% to 4,158 t in Aug compared to 9,519 t in Jul.
- Logistical hurdles due to monsoon flooding, landslides along with concerns around rising Covid cases weigh on trading activity.
