Nepal’s new government has downsized the budget brought in by the earlier government, making drastic changes related to taxation in steel products manufactured in the domestic market as well imports (refer to table above).
The K.P. Sharma Oli-led government had introduced a budget in May the size of which was NPR (Nepalese Rupee) 1.647 trillion through an ordinance. The size of the budget has been reduced by NPR 16.74 billion to NPR 1.632 trillion subsequently.
