NALCO’s 95,500 MT Calcined Pet Coke Purchase Tender

NALCO has floated a global tender for tentative purchase of 95,500 MT Calcined Pet coke, inviting overseas and indigenous manufacturers/suppliers for 1-year.

National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has intended to procure about 95,500 MT +/- 5% Calcined Pet coke (CP coke) for their Smelter plant located at Angul, Odisha. In this context, the company has invited indigenous as well as overseas manufacturers or suppliers. Supplier should mention the name of the manufacturer, whose product has been offered in the tender document.

Interested bidders should submit the concern documents regarding minimum annual production and supply experience during preceding last 2 fiscal years i.e. FY13 & FY14.

Ash Content: 0.50% max
Moisture: 0.30 % max
Individual particle size: 30 mm max
Calcium: 0.02% max

Price Basis for Tender

Overseas Supplier: Prices should be quoted only in USD on FoB as well as CFR Vishakhapatnam Port basis. The shipment lot provided by overseas supplier should be in the range of approx 5,000-5,200 MT. Also, tenderer should submit their offer on firm price basis for supply of the material within 1 year.

Indigenous Supplier: Prices should be quoted in INR on FoR destination (NALCO Smelter Plant, Angul) basis. Tenderer should submit their offer on firm price basis for supply of the material within 1 year.

Note:

1. The company will procure the tender quantity by placing order to minimum 3 parties
2. Bidder’s offer will be considered only if it can supply a minimum of 10% of the tender quantity
3. Suppliers, having minimum supply experience of 10% tender quantity and have not supplied to NALCO yet, can be considered as upto 20% of tenderer quantity. For them, first delivery will be considered as trial (indigenous supplier: min 1 rake approx 2,600 MT and overseas supplier: 1 shipment lot containing 5,000-5,200 MT approx)
4. Overseas suppliers should supply a minimum quantity of 35,000 MT Pet coke. Quotations for less than this quantity will not be accepted
5. Indigenous suppliers should quote their offers in minimum of one rake load (2,600 MT) and multiple of it. For delivery through road, the maximum quantity that can be accepted by road will be 18,000 MT
