Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Co Ltd (MPPGCL) is a wholly owned company of MP government engaged in generation of electricity in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The company has invited a tender for purchase of 28,700 MT non-coking coal of foreign origin from established Indian suppliers or owners of coal mines for Satpura Thermal Power Station, Sarni, Betul (M.P.).
Apart from online, bidders also need to submit the technical bid physically. In which, they need to submit the separate envelop of Credentials/Pre Qualification Record, EMD for respective power station and Techno-commercial forms. Bidder has to submit the price bid only through online mode. Physical submission for price bid is not allowed.
Validity of offer
The offer will be valid for a period of 90 days from the date of price bid opening.
Eligibility criteria
1. The bidder should be a supplier of imported coal directly or through PSUs to any steel/power/cement/fertilizer in any of preceding 3 financial years.
2. The bidder need to submit the performance certificate.
3. The bidder should possess a net worth of INR 10 crore in the last financial year.
4. The bidder needs to quote for full quantity.
5. Any kind of consortiums are not eligible to participate.

8. Ash softening point: 1,050-1,360o C
9. Ash fusion point: 1,350 to 1,450o C
10. Ash flow point: Above 1,400o C
11. Coal size: Below 50 mm (Fineness 0-5mm up to 15% allowed)
