MMTC Re-Issues Tender for Export of 10,000 MT Chrome Ore

MMTC, a leading international trading company in India and one of the major global players in minerals trade, has re-issued a tender for export of 10,000 MT friable chrome ore and 1,500 MT chrome concentrate of Indian origin for interested overseas buyers. The last tender for same quantity and material expired on 1 Dec’16.

As per the shipment period, loading to be completed on or before 30 Dec’16. The origin of the material is Misrilall Mines Pvt. Ltd. (MMPL).

Bidders needs to quote prices in USD/DMT FoBT Paradip port India (in bulk). The bidders shall keep their bids valid for a period of 10 days from the date of tender closing.

Interested parties can submit their bids till 8 Dec’16.

Global Chrome Ore Market Scenario

Due to insufficient stocks and relatively strong demand in the Chinese market, prices for South African chrome ore concentrate 40-42% moved up to USD 370/MT FOB South Africa. South Africa accounts to about 65% of the global chrome ore trade.

Turkish chrome ore lump 40-42% prices also increased significantly by USD 30/MT to USD 380-385/MT FOB Turkey.

According to China customs, China imported 927,795 MT of chrome ore in Oct’16, up by 12.35% YOY and 46.38% MOM.
