MMTC, a leading international trading company in India and one of the major global players in minerals trade, has invited a tender for sale of chrome concentrate from interested overseas bidders.
Bidder shall submit their offers separately in the following two-bid format:
I) Part A: Technical bid (physical mode) and
II) Part B: Price bid (electronic mode)
The material has been offered by Tata Steel.
Offered quantity
a) 30,000 MT (±10%) 50/48% Cr2O3 chrome concentrate
b) 8,000 MT (±10%) 56/54% Cr2O3 low silica chrome concentrate
The shipment period for chrome concentrate is during 27 Nov’15-8 Dec’15 and low silica chrome concentrate is from 12 Dec’15-20 Dec’15.
The bidders shall quote prices in USD/DMT FoBT Gangavaram Port/Vizag Port
(Andhra Pradesh) for chrome concentrate. For containerized shipment, additional USD 15/DMT will be added in price.
During the loading time at Indian port, M/s Mitra S.K / Superintendence company of India / M/s Inspectorate Griffith India shall be appointed to undertake quantity and quality analysis.
Eligibility criteria
Bidder shall fulfill the following criteria and submit supporting documents in a tender box kept in MMTC, New Delhi Office.
i) The bidder should have the annual turnover of minimum USD 50 million during last financial year. The minimum networth of USD 5 million as on last annual balance sheet. At least one year experience in minerals business and the credit rating report shall not be older than one year i.e. issued on or after 31 Oct’14.
ii) Bidder shall submit bank reference report issued on or after 31 Oct’14.
iii) Bidder shall submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of USD 9/MT along with tender documents. MTPL, Singapore a 100% subsidiary of MMTC, will be exempted from submission of security deposit, performance guarantee bond and establishment of letter of credit towards the value of cargo.
The last date of bid submission is 10 Nov’15 till 11:00 hrs.
