There is something to cheer for miners based in Karnataka, state which have been starved for iron ore for last few months.
According to sources, miners may start operations by October if everything remains stable, including the state government.
All the approvals have to be taken, including Supreme Court approval, for our mine because we are in Category 'B'. So, I think in couple of months it should start. By October, we can expect mining to begin,” Sesa Goa's Managing Director P K Mukherjee told PTI.
Currently iron ore is sold through e-auction conducted by MSTC.
