"Miners and Exporters will take time to adopt new policy by Karnataka govt on exports of iron ore"- Miners

Miners and exporters based in Karnataka are not clear on policy to be implemented by govt on exports of Iron Ore..* Indian Court recently  lifted ban on exports of Iron ore from 20th of April, but miners and exporters are not clear about the policy and say it will take time to adopt it.

 

“We are not clear on the policy which is to be formulated by govt on exports of Iron Ore, certainly policies are likely to be tightened as it is big issue” said an exporter based in bangalore.

 

“Transportation will be an issue for exporters as its been long since exports have been stopped and it will take time for transporters to set up logistics infrastructure again” he added.

 

Supply of Indian iron ore fines likely to remain tight as Goa ports will be closed from may on account of monsoon. Karnataka miners are exporters are not clear about the policy which is to be implemented. Certainly supplies will be a key concern for Chinese spot iron ore market said industry experts.
