Russian steelmaker – Metallinvest has contracted Danieli to supply an electric-arc furnace (EAF #5) and a ladle furnace (LF #4) for its OEMK plant in southwest Russia. EAF #5 will operate with up to 100% DRI in the burden, delivering 1.2 mn t pa of liquid steel to be refined in the new ladle furnace. The electric-arc furnace #5 is scheduled to be commissioned in 2023 and ladle furnace #4 in 2024.
