In a span of six days, Pig iron (foundry grade) prices were pulled down by Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL), on the 14th.
Mesco Steel is also offering its foundry grade material at Rs 500/MT less to Rs 24,000/MT (ex-works Cuttack). NINL prices are standing in the range of Rs 22,500-24,000/MT.
“Off take in foundry grade Pig iron has come down drastically and NINL prices have weakened. Hence, we lowered prices too“, remarked a senior official of Mesco Steel (Odisha).
In the current week, Adhunik Metaliks and MSP Steel & Power pushed by prices by Rs 500/MT for (steel) Pig iron.
