Melting scrap prices down by INR 200 ($3) in western India

Domestic melting scrap prices increased by INR 100-400/t d-o-d in almost all major locations, except western India. In Gujarat, prices decreased marginally by INR 100-200/t owing to adequate availability but limited transaction in semi-finished steel. Current trade price for HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 26,500/t Jalna, INR 25,700/t Chennai (DAP).
